On April 23rd, 24th & 25th, I was invited, as a Poetry contributor, to an amazing celebration! There were eight winners of last year’s April 2025, Off the Wall poetry competition. At the
Rowan-Cabarrus Community College
a Reception for the event was held this Thursday evening, … then, on Friday evening at the College Auditorium listening to the Salisbury Rowan Youth Choir… then, a special performance by North Carolina’s Poet Laureate Jaki Shelton Green! The weekend continued today, Saturday, April 25, 2026, with an induction of the eight Poets who won the awards for their Poems, and have these poems inscribed in the concrete cement grounds around the town of Salisbury, NC.
